Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Claims Technician in Bridgend, Wales. The role is 35 hours weekly, permanent, with hybrid working (3 days in the office). You will manage a caseload of household and commercial claims, taking notifications and settling claims while delivering strong customer service.

You will interact with brokers, clients and experts, growing in responsibility with increasing handling authority. Full training is provided within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience within a claims team or handling insurance claims.
• Proficient written and verbal communication with clarity.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads.
• Attention to detail and accurate data capture.
• Providing support, technical knowledge and acting as a referral point.

Responsibilities

• Handling of insurance claims, primarily Property Claims (Household/Commercial).
• Caseload management from start to finish with effective organisation.
• Make decisions on policy cover and communicate clearly by phone and in writing.
• Maintain accurate file reserves and ensure FCA-compliant handling.
• Provide claims support and underwriting queries interpretation.
