Description

We have an opportunity for a Claims Performance Manger to join our team here at AXA Health. You'll play a key role in driving cost management initiatives that not only streamlines our claims processes but also elevates the quality of healthcare services and overall customer experience. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

• Support the Head of Claims Performance and analytical team in the performance of the claims cost management strategy across business functions.
• Manage claims performance reporting for AXA Health through spotting trends, risks and opportunities to become more data driven, helping with system improvements and collaborating with colleagues to build better insight tools for the future.
• Work as part of the leadership team to deliver and expand our claims reduction programme.
• Coach team members and support engagement across the department to create a sense of ownership and empowerment, helping everyone perform to their best ability.
• Create a personal plan for continued learning and development to position yourself as a claims and healthcare subject matter expert.
• Support regulatory compliance of Care and Claims Transformation initiatives, referring any concerns to risk management and Head of Claims Performance.
• Provide indirect management across multiple areas, ensuring collaboration and alignment with department goals whilst supporting team performance and development.

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience in an insurance, financial services or a healthcare background essential.
• Understanding of Claims processes and systems desirable.
• Knowledge/experience in the healthcare sector advantageous.
• Relevant experience in managing and input to large multi-disciplined programmes, with a focus on of delivering cost improvements.
• Effective relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Business subject matter expert with a strong desire to broaden expertise across the wider healthcare sector.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
