A leading UK insurance business is seeking a UK Commercial Claims Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and elevate its commercial claims function. This is a senior role reporting to the leadership team, overseeing delegated authorities, MI / reporting, workflow management, and continuous improvement across the UK commercial claims organisation.

You’ll lead a centralised, multi-disciplinary claims operations team and be a key partner to underwriting, brokers, and other business functions, ensuring outstanding service delivery and operational performance in a commercial insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing commercial claims operations team
  • Oversee claims administration, workflow management, and SLA adherence across commercial lines
  • Drive operational performance, governance, process improvement, and resource planning
  • Own MI & data reporting across commercial claims (weekly / monthly dashboards, KPIs, DA performance)
  • Manage delegated authority oversight, ensuring control, compliance, and quality
  • Implement audit programmes and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer and broker experience
  • Partner with senior leadership on firm-wide initiatives, regulatory programmes, and operational strategy
