Description
The claims handler will be responsible for managing a caseload of pre-litigated and Low Value Litigated Motor Claims for our Corporate clients.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigated motor claims up to £100k, including high value/complex matters, from inception to settlement.
- Manage a caseload of litigated motor claims up to £100k.
- Identify cases suitable for early litigation with high prospects.
- Support the delivery of high levels of service and productivity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent service quality.
- Accurately input and maintain data.
- Communicate effectively with clients.
- Mentor, train, and serve as a technical referral point for team members handling pre-litigation and litigated claims.
Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
The primary location for this role is Liverpool. It is a hybrid role, working 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of managing the full claim cycle, including initial quantum assessment, liability investigation, and settlement negotiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Customer service experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and support new starters.
