The opportunity:
To drive outstanding outcomes in our market leading High Net Worth team ‘Zurich Private Clients’ within UK Claims, reporting to the High Net Worth Claims Manager. The role of Specialist Claims Handler is to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective and stellar claims service for Zurich and its customers, applying technical expertise to a wide range of claim types arising within our Motor, Property and Travel offering. The successful candidate will personally handle a portfolio of motor, property and travel claims to a market leading standard.
The team services first party damage and travel claim for Zurich High Net Worth clients within all UK legal jurisdictions. This role is flexible to those around the UK. Please note, some travel may be required to attend meetings/conferences where virtual attendance is not possible or appropriate.

What will you be doing?
- Always demonstrating role model behaviours and true customer focus in accordance with Zurich’s Claims Commitment
- Utilising extensive prior experience in a high-impact customer service and/or technical insurance environment
- Displaying a positive ‘can-do’ mindset aimed toward excellent customer outcomes, removal of waste and enhancing productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Ensure effective and prompt settlement of claims in specialist areas
- Review and proactively finalise all claims within technical limits and authority levels, unless otherwise agreed to handle under licence
- Proactively drive own professional growth and career progression
- Support team-mates and share best practice
- Undertakes ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
Who are we looking for?
- CII Certificate qualified, or significant progress towards professional qualifications, is advantageous and preferred
- Minimum of 2 years Property or Motor Claims experience, or an otherwise outstanding background in either, or both, financial and customer service sectors
- Strong understanding of policy coverage, industry protocols, legislation and legal liability is also highly advantageous and preferred, however training will also be provided
- Demonstrated track record of managing a caseload cradle to grave
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high degree of self-management
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High level knowledge of internal governance procedures and requirements
