HarKaye Core Talent, in partnership with a well-established claimant law firm, is seeking a Claims Assistant. This role is ideal for a law graduate passionate about launching a career in personal injury law, offering structured training and clear progression within a respected team.

As the first point of contact for new clients, you will deliver empathetic, professional service from the initial conversation and support the legal team with administrative tasks as your training progresses.

Qualifications

This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate who is passionate about building a long-term career in personal injury law. If you have a Law degree and enjoy working with people, this role offers structured training, ongoing support and genuine career progression within a highly respected legal team.

As the first point of contact for new clients, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals at the start of their legal journey, delivering an empathetic, professional and efficient service from the very first conversation.

The Role

As a Claims Assistant, you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients making personal injury enquiries.
• Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls.
• Gather key information and accurately record details on the case management system.
• Assess the initial viability of new claims.
• Progress claims through the appropriate legal process.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with empathy and professionalism.
• Support the wider legal team with administrative and case-related tasks.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

• A Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
• Previous customer service or telephone-based experience, with the ability to build rapport and communicate confidently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Be able to commute to Huddersfield on a daily basis. Applications are only being considered from candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.

Experience within personal injury or legal services would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
