Job description

We are seeking a Claims Administrative Support role to assist the Claims function, including operations in London and Europe. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of claims data, compliance with regulations, and supporting claims processing activities.

  • Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports related to claims.
  • Handle claims processing in accordance with Starr and Lloyd’s standards and authority levels.
  • Proactively manage DOCOsoft workflow, including diaries, and ensure claims are accurately recorded.
  • Attach relevant documentation and maintain comprehensive notes for each transaction to improve claims outcomes.
  • Process and manage settled direct claims, including diary management on DOCOsoft, and coordinate with the UW Ops department for premium allocation corrections.
  • Correct claim signings that have followed into suspense and process manual bridging reserves during quarterly closes.
  • Review loss fund adequacy, recover prior year loss funds, and upload bordereaux to DOCOsoft as needed.
  • Support administrative tasks for complex claims adjusters during peak periods and assist with ad hoc projects.
  • Report any suspicions of financial crime to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer immediately.
  • Operate within the company's standards for Treating Customers Fairly and manage conflicts of interest appropriately.
  • Report complaints to Compliance promptly and communicate training/resource needs to management.
  • Promote teamwork and develop a strong team culture.
  • Ensure all accounts are contractually certain and maintain high standards of integrity.
