What Is the Opportunity?

We are recruiting for a Claims Adjuster based in London, focusing on US property binders within the Lloyds market, with opportunities to develop skills across other lines. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims, adhering to company policies and standards.

This role supports the Claims Management team, emphasizing high-quality claims handling and customer service. Travelers Europe offers hybrid work flexibility, and the position includes a £1500 new joiner bonus, with referral bonuses available.

What Will You Do?

  1. Analyze and apply policy coverage to assigned claims.
  2. Investigate claims thoroughly.
  3. Negotiate and settle claims proactively.
  4. Reserve claims accurately.
  5. Uphold company service standards.
  6. Maintain data accuracy.
  7. Manage external vendors and monitor service quality.
  8. Authorize claim payments within authority limits.
  9. Provide technical advice and develop relationships.
  10. Support team members and participate in projects.
  11. Assist with complex claims as needed.
  12. Communicate actions and collaborate effectively.
  13. Engage in training to enhance skills.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  1. Technical knowledge to handle claims within authority.
  2. Experience in London Market claim handling preferred.
  3. Competence in claims management standards.
  4. Intermediate communication and business skills.
  5. Ability to build relationships and be flexible.
  6. Accountability and strategic thinking.
  7. Customer focus and sound judgment.
  8. Teamwork skills.
  9. Progress towards ACII or London Market Insurance certification preferred.

What is a Must Have?

  1. At least 5 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent.
  2. Some insurance-related experience (e.g., paralegal, broker).
