We are working with a London market insurer who are seeking a Claims Adjuster - Casualty.

This role involves working closely with Senior Claims Adjusters and is ideal for someone enthusiastic about problem-solving and looking to take on a new challenge in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage claims of varying complexity within a designated authority level, in accordance with the company’s claims handling philosophy and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with both internal and external standards for claims processing and customer service, including meeting service level agreements and maintaining up-to-date records in relevant claims management systems.
  • Communicate effectively with underwriters and internal stakeholders, providing key insights on claims developments and potential implications for underwriting or policy interpretation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and third-party service providers.
  • Share relevant claims trends, issues, and developments with the wider Claims team through regular communication.
  • Contribute to the team’s success by supporting ad hoc tasks or projects as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • A strong background in claims handling with solid technical claims knowledge.
  • Experience with electronic claims filing platforms used in the insurance market (e.g., systems common to the London Market).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence when engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving mindset and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and similar office applications.
  • Progress toward a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACII) is desirable but not essential.
