Job summary

Sompo in London is seeking a Claims Adjuster for Commercial D&O and Transactional Liability to evaluate and process claims in line with policy terms. You will assess claims, prepare accurate estimates, and manage settlements with attention to timeliness and compliance.

The role demands strong communication, analytical rigor and collaboration with brokers and clients, while maintaining robust documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements. This is a key part of Sompo's Claims team.

Qualifications

• Broad experience of working in a Claims environment within a specialized/complex Claims area.
• ACII (equivalent) qualified or progress towards completion of insurance qualifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve Claims in a professional manner to provide excellent handling.
• Ensure estimates and billings are calculated correctly and Sompo’s share is correct.
• Identify and investigate coverage issues to align with contractual commitments.
• Identify subrogation and recovery opportunities and pursue where appropriate.
• Maintain kept/accessible claims files and document coverage issues clearly.
• Produce MI and detailed reports to management and underwriters.
