Qualifications

• Able to follow instructions and work to deadlines with challenging workloads.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls; gather FNOL details and review policy terms.
• Set up new claims in the bespoke Claims Management System.
• Handle introductory calls and emails to policyholders after FNOL.
• Request supporting evidence from policyholders and/or brokers to progress claims.
• Assess policy coverage.
• Complete quantum and adjustment calculations from evidence and policy wording.
• Correspond with insurers regarding policy interpretation, coverage, repudiations and approvals for claims outside Delegated Authority.
• Process AML / Sanctions searches and claims payments including MI.
• Investigate subrogation opportunities.

We are recruiting for a Claims Adjuster on behalf of a specialist marine claims management company.

The successful candidate will handleclaims from ‘cradle to grave’, including setting up, reviewing and acknowledging First Notification of Loss (FNOL), gathering evidence and reviewing policy wording and coverage to determine whether a claim is covered. Responsible for inputting all relevant MI, which feeds into monthly Bordereaux, as well as processing claims payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking inbound calls; gathering FNOL details, reviewing / considering policy terms.
• Setting up new claims in the company bespoke Claims Management System.
• Handling introductory calls and emails to policy holders following FNOL.
• Requesting supporting evidence from policy holders and / or brokers to progressclaims.
• Assessing policy coverage.
• Completing quantum and adjustment calculations from evidence provided and policy wording todetermine claims pay-outs.
• Corresponding with insurers regarding policy interpretation, coverage, repudiations and approvalfor claims outside of the company Delegated Authority.
• Processing AML / Sanctions searches and claims payments including all associated MI.
• Investigating subrogation opportunities.
