Job summary

Exeter College is seeking a Cladding/Roofing Tutor to train and assess roofing apprentices at our Sowton site. You don’t need a teaching qualification, but you should be enthusiastic and well-versed in roofing to engage students.

Key qualities include patience, organisation, and the ability to explain concepts clearly. You’ll work toward an L4 IQA qualification and contribute to a Disability Confident employer environment.

Qualifications

• You’ll tutor and assess roofing apprentices, no formal teaching qualification required.
• Be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about roofing to engage learners.
• Demonstrate patience and organisation to support several learners across sessions.
• A willingness to work towards L4 IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) qualification.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and assess roofing apprentices on-site in Sowton.
• Inspire and energise learners with clear explanations of roofing concepts.
• Record progress and provide feedback to students and mentors.
• Support learners towards achieving IQA-related outcomes.
