Job summary

Glanville Environmental is a reputable drainage and civil engineering company operating across the South West and Midlands since 1983. This frontline, multifunctional role covers traditional civil engineering, lining and pipe bursting, delivering planned works and reactive minor works.

You will coordinate and manage a small team, work safely to specification, perform risk assessments, compile job packs, liaise with client representatives and the public, and ensure PPE and paperwork compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering/utilities.
• Experience in CIPP lining & patch lining is advantageous.
• Experience with no-dig techniques (pipe bursting, re-rounding).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of WRC Sewers standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage team members and complete tasks as directed by line management.
• Carry out works safely and in accordance with specifications and current legislation.
• Undertake dynamic risk assessments and keep them up to date.
• Prepare comprehensive job packs (GRNs, plant hires, time on site) with relevant feedback.
• Liaise with client site representatives, other stakeholders and the public as required.
• Ensure PPE compliance and health and safety compliance.
• Carry out PUWER, LOLER, vehicle inspections on a weekly basis.
• Operate equipment (disc cutter, breaking equipment, compaction equipment, hand tools).
• Report defective plant/equipment and arrange replacement or repair.
• Maintain van/equipment clean, tidy and safe; support depot safety and material flow.
• Ad-hoc duties as instructed by line management.
