Job summary

MJ Quinn Integrated Services Ltd seeks a field-based SD Support Engineer for underground civils work across the UK. The role involves civils avoidance, soft digging, and cable detection using Cat & Genny, with a focus on safe, high-quality service delivery.

This is a self-employed subcontractor position requiring reporting, independent work, and compliance with tax and legal requirements. A company vehicle and full safety induction are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years.

SD Support Engineer – Underground (Civils)

£160 per day

Job Description:

We’re hiring Support Engineers to join our Service Delivery team across the UK. This is a field-based role focused on underground pathway clearance, civils avoidance techniques, and soft digging in verges. You’ll use hand digging tools, Cat & Genny for cable detection, and carry out blockage clearance and installation of small duct lengths.

You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service across our infrastructure projects.

This role is offered on a self-employed sub-contractor basis and is not a PAYE employment opportunity. Successful applicants will be engaged under a contract for services and must comply with all applicable tax and legal requirements relating to their business activities.
