Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property in the UK is seeking a Site Engineer for a premium-rate DBFO A50 highway works project, with night shifts scheduled through September and October and a contract running to 01/11/2026. Location: Uttoxeter (A50). Rate: £490 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35).

You will be involved in setting out, surveying, measurements, and management of critical site permits, with a focus on safety and identifying underground services on-site.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card and SSSTS required.
• EUSR Categories 1 & 2 preferred.
• Highways Passport preferred but not essential.
• Proven hands-on experience in safe digging and service identification.

The Contract Details:

• Job Title: Site Engineer

• Working Hours: Night shifts throughout September and October

What You'll Be Doing:

• Setting out and carrying out basic site surveying.
• Taking accurate site measurements and maintaining meticulous records.
• Taking responsibility for the holding and issuing of critical site permits (including permit to dig and hot works).
• Scanning and identifying underground services to ensure site safety.
• Overseeing safe digging practices and ensuring all site protocols are strictly followed.

What We Need From You:

• CSCS Card
• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
• EUSR Categories 1 & 2
• Proven, hands-on experience in safe digging and service identification.
• Highways Passport is highly preferred, though not essential.
