Job summary

Venesky-Brown Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Black Hat Supervisor / Civils Foreman to support a major civils project at Glasgow Airport. Nightshift role supervising groundworks and civils activities to drive works safely through the nightshift programme.

Location is Glasgow Airport with rotation Sunday to Thursday nights; immediate start subject to vetting. PAYE contract with holiday accrual, overtime rates, and workplace pension in place.

Qualifications

• Strong civils / groundworks background.
• Experience supervising site operatives and plant.
• SSSTS certification and CSCS Gold preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervising civils and groundworks teams on nightshift.
• Coordinating operatives, plant and daily work activities.
• Delivering task briefings and supporting RAMS / safe systems of work.
• Monitoring progress and helping keep works on programme.
• Working closely with site management, engineers and subcontractors.
• Maintaining strong health & safety standards.
• Supporting concrete, drainage, ducting, excavation and general civils works.

Venesky-Brown are recruiting for an experienced Black Hat Supervisor / Civils Foreman to support a major civils project at Glasgow Airport. This is a nightshift role supervising groundworks and civils activities and helping drive the works safely and efficiently through the nightshift programme.

Pay

• Monday–Friday nights: £33.92 per hour
• Saturday / Sunday nights: £38.25 per hour

Key duties

• Supervising civils and groundworks teams on nightshift
• Coordinating operatives, plant and daily work activities
• Delivering task briefings and supporting RAMS / safe systems of work
• Monitoring progress and helping keep works on programme
• Working closely with site management, engineers and subcontractors
• Maintaining strong health & safety standards
• Supporting concrete, drainage, ducting, excavation and general civils works

Essential requirements

• Strong civils / groundworks background
• Previous Ganger, Foreman or Working Supervisor experience
• SSSTS
• Valid CSCS card – Gold preferred
• Experience supervising site operatives and plant
• Comfortable working nightshift
• Able to complete Glasgow Airport airside vetting and pass requirements

Desirable

• Previous airport / aviation experience
• Airfield concrete or surfacing experience
• AGL / ducting experience
• Experience working in permit-controlled environments
• First Aid
• Glasgow / West of Scotland based

Shift: Nightshift (Sunday to Thursday)

Start: ASAP, subject to airport pass / vetting
