Job summary

Edge Contracting Services is seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor to lead a groundworks team on a Blyth project. The role involves supervising drainage, ducting and utilities installation, and maintaining safety and quality on site.

You will take levels, coordinate activities, and ensure work is completed to drawings and schedule. Immediate start with 7:30am–5:30pm hours and £28/hour pay. Previous civils supervision and Black Hat experience essential; CSCS Gold Card and SSSTS required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising civils and groundworks teams.
• Strong practical experience in drainage, ducting and utilities installation.
• Confident taking levels and ensuring works are completed accurately.
• Able to lead a gang while remaining hands-on with site activities.
• Reliable, organised and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating a gang of groundworkers on site.
• Taking a hands-on approach to drainage, ducting and utilities installation.
• Overseeing excavation, trenching and service installation works.
• Ensuring work is carried out accurately to the required levels and specifications.
• Monitoring productivity, quality and progress against the programme.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed and safe working practices are maintained.
• Liaising with site management and coordinating daily activities.
