Job summary

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a major civil engineering contractor to deliver multi-million £ Yorkshire Water projects within AMP8. The role leads projects through all phases from ECI to handover, with packages up to £20m.

Key duties include coordinating with the senior team, subcontractor procurement, final accounts negotiations and regular site presence to ensure robust cost control and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor on complex/heavy civil engineering projects.
• Experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
• ideally Yorkshire Water or similar client exposure.
• MEICA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager.
• Liaise with Contracts Manager and site teams for up-to-date information.
• Subcontractor procurement cradle to grave.
• Negotiate Main Contract Final Accounts.
• Provide commercial support and be regularly on sites.
• Submit payment applications.
• Assist with dispute resolution and avoidance.
• Prepare monthly CVR updates.
• Maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
