Job summary

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from procurement through to final account
• Provide commercial and contractual guidance across civils, groundworks and drainage schemes
• Prepare and monitor budgets, estimates and cost plans
• Support estimation and tendering activities where required
• Assist in supplier and subcontractor negotiations to ensure best value

Civils Quantity Surveyor

Location: Liverpool

Competitive salary package

We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a civil engineering contractor delivering a range of projects across the region. The successful candidate will have a strong civils subcontracting background, with experience across civils, groundworks and drainage projects. The nature of the business some estimating experience would be an advantage. Typical project values range from £100k up to around £5million.

Projects include:

• Airport projects
• Housing developments
• Groundworks
• Drainage
• Civil engineering & infrastructure

Project values: £100k - £5 million

We're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Strong civils / groundworks background
• Experience with drainage packages
• Commercial and contractual awareness
• Ability to manage projects from procurement through to final account
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
