Job summary

Navartis in Manchester is seeking a Quality Advisor with civil engineering experience to join our team. You will support HSQE management systems and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 on design, construction and commissioning activities.

You will provide practical quality guidance on live projects, carry out internal audits, support site teams with documentation and handovers, identify nonconformances and drive robust corrective actions, acting as a trusted point of contact

Qualifications

• Experience on civil engineering projects (highways, utilities, tunnelling, structures, water) essential.
• Minimum Level 4/HNC in Quality or related subject.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
• CSCS Card holder.
• Strong MS Office 365 and Teams skills.
• At least 1 year in a civil engineering environment.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (essential).
• Lead Auditor (Desirable).
• CQI qualification (Desired).

Responsibilities

Job description

One of the UK's leading privately-owned construction and utility services companies are looking to hire a Quality Advisor with expereince working in the civil engineering sector to join their team in Manchester.

As a Quality Advisor you will support the business to help ensure that the company HSQE Management Systems meet the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001. You will also ensure that all design. construction and commissioning activities comply with Industry standards, accreditation requirements and client specifications

You’ll play a key role in promoting and embedding good quality practices on site.

Working closely with project teams, you will:

• Provide practical quality support and guidance across a portfolio of live construction projects
• Carry out internal audits in line with ISO 9001 and company procedures
• Support site teams with quality documentation, inspection processes and handover requirements
• Identify nonconformances, weak processes and areas for improvement—and help drive robust corrective actions
• Help ensure compliance with our HSQE Management System and contribute to continual improvement
• Act as a trusted, quality focused point of contact for clients and supply chain stakeholders

Quality Advisor Specification

• Knowledge and experience of civil engineering projects ie. highways, utlities, tunnelling, structures, water. (Essential)
• Qualified to a minimum of Level 4/HNC level in Quality/quality-related subject
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
• CSCS Card
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
• Minimum 1 year experience in a civil engineering environment
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (essential)
• Qualified as a Lead Auditor (Desirable)
• Practitioner of CQI (Desired)

Not interested in candidates from manufacturing or industrial backgrounds

Circa £43,000 - £45,000 negotiable dependant on experience plus car allowance and package including 25 days holidays, hybrid working and pension.
