Job summary

Gigawatt Industries Ltd is seeking a hands-on Civils/Groundworks Team Leader to head a three-person crew delivering trenching, ducting, concrete bases and reinstatement on live EV charging sites across the UK.

You will set out works from drawings, supervise safety and quality, keep daily site records and coordinate with project managers. Accommodation and travel are provided as required.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card required.
• CPCS or NPORs certification required.
• SWQR qualification needed; Cat & Genny training advantageous.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a hands-on Civils / Groundworks Team Leader to lead a 3-person team carrying out trenching, ducting, concrete bases and reinstatement works on live sites nationwide.You’ll take full responsibility on site, ensuring all works are completed safely, accurately and on time, while working closely with our Project Managers and delivery teams.Accommodation, company vehicles and meal allowances are provided when working away.## Key responsibilities* Lead a 3-person civils team on EV charging and electrical infrastructure projects.* Supervise excavations, ducting, concrete plinths, kerbing and reinstatement.* Read and work from construction drawings and utility plans, setting out works accurately.* Ensure all jobs meet health, safety and quality standards.* Keep daily records and report progress to the Project Manager.* Carry out site briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure permits-to-dig and RAMS are followed.* Operate plant and machinery when required (NPORS/CPCS preferred).* Act as the main site contact for clients, inspectors and management.## Essential* Valid CSCS card.* CPCS or NPORS (plant operator tickets).* SWQR (Street Works) qualification.* Cat & Genny training.* Full UK driving licence.## Desirable* SSSTS or SMSTS.* Experience supervising utility, groundworks or ICP projects.* Prior experience on EV charging or electrical infrastructure sites.## What you'll get* £56,000+ per year, paid weekly.* Company vehicle and fuel.* Accommodation and meal allowance when working away.* Overtime opportunities (weekends).* Company pension.* Free or on-site parking.* Long-term career progression as Gigawatt continues to grow.## Who you areYou have proven experience leading civils or utilities teams.You’re confident reading drawings and setting out small civil works.You have a strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance.You’re a positive communicator who motivates your team and delivers results.You’re happy to travel and stay away when required (accommodation provided).You’re reliable, organised, and proud of producing high-quality work.No recruitment agencies, please.## Before you applyA few quick questions to help us understand your fit.
