Job summary

Van Elle, the UK’s leading geotechnical and ground engineering contractor, is recruiting Civils Groundworkers to support projects across the country. You will join a hands-on civils team delivering groundworks, drainage, concreting and platform installation while upholding company values and safety standards.

We welcome applicants with CSCS and CPCS qualifications, a strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required; civils groundworks experience preferred.
• First aid certification beneficial for site safety.
• SSSTS/SMSTS would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team, delivering all aspects of groundworks.
• Installation of platforms.
• Read drawings and use a laser level where possible.
• Drainage installation and concreting tasks.
• Support Van Elle's policies and maintain site standards.
• Undertake additional tasks as required.

Job description

Location will be Site based in different site locations across the country

Are you ready to build your career with a supportive, hands-on civils team? We're looking for Civils Groundworkers of all experience levels to join us, develop their skills, and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects across the UK.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work as part of a team, delivering all aspects of groundworks
• Installation of platforms
• Able to use a laser level, and read drawings (not essential but would be a benefit)
• Steel fixing and shuttering (not essential but would be a benefit)
• Drainage installation
• Concreting skills
• Polite manor and good communication skills
• Conduct self in a way that reflect and promotes the Van Elle company values
• Understand and act in accordance with Van Elle's policies and procedures.
• Any other tasks that you may reasonably be required to undertake.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience in civils groundworks
• Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) card
• CPCS excavator 10t and above or Npors with CSCS logo
• CPCS FWD tipping dumper or Npors with CSCS logo
• CPCS roller or Npors with CSCS logo
• First aid
• Temporary work Supervisor
• Lift supervisor
• Strong work ethic and Punctuality
• Able to Work Nationwide
• SSSTS/SMSTS (Not essential but would be a benefit)

Other Requirements

• Eligible to work and live in the UK.
• Flexibility to travel in the UK.
• A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK (desirable)
