Summary

Freedom is currently recruiting for a civils ganger to be part of a team undertaking asset replacement works supporting the upgrade and replacement of substation equipment in a manner that delivers safe, high-quality workmanship and fit for purpose networks for our DNO customers, and which promotes the company in a positive light at all times.

The role is based across the northwest of England

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Support with excavation and reinstatement work on small secondary substations to support the replacement of plant / equipment
• Erection of SL&G to ensure that the public are kept safe at all times
• Installation of LV and 11kv cabling
• Installation of form work for plinth constructions for electrical equipment
• Cat scanning / pre-vetting and planning works
• Tar work reinstatement within footpath and highways
• Ensuring good quality workmanship to prevent defects
• Recognise best practices and promote innovation ideas.
  
  

What we’re looking for :

• Background of working with utilities
• Minimum of 5 years practical background
• Site safety passport and/or experience of working on CDM sites
• Manual Handling
• First Aid
• Cat and genny
• Excavator tickets - Desirable
• DNO Authorisations - Desirable
