Job summary

Reed Recruitment is seeking a Civils Estimator based in Warrington to provide comprehensive estimating for a portfolio of civil projects. You will prepare tenders from first principles using Conquest, lead supplier discussions, and manage site visits to validate costs and site conditions.

The role requires two years in an estimating department, a civil engineering qualification, and the ability to work across contracts while adapting to changing project demands.

Qualifications

• HND/C in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Ability to form bills of quantities from drawings and take-offs.

Responsibilities

• Provide estimating service for assigned projects or portfolios.
• Identify risks from project documentation.
• Prepare tender estimates from first principles using Conquest estimating software.
• Conduct site visits to ascertain site-specific complexities.
• Lead discussions with suppliers and subcontractors during tenders.
• Engage in pre-tender discussions/sign-off with senior colleagues.
• Attend pre/post-tender meetings with clients' personnel.
• Hand over tender process details to contract/commercial teams.
