Job summary

Reed Recruitment are partnering with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit a Civils Estimator in Warrington. You will deliver comprehensive tender estimates, manage risks, and interface with senior colleagues on pre-tender discussions and client meetings.

The role requires hands-on experience with estimating, BoQ take-offs, and strong knowledge of Conquest Series Q, Excel, Word, and Project. On-site site visits and supplier negotiations form part of the duties.

Qualifications

• HND/C in Civil Engineering required.
• At least two years experience in an estimating department.
• Understanding of construction techniques and tendering cost relationships.
• BoQ formation from drawings using hand or software.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tenders with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Conquest Series Q and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive estimating service for a project or portfolio.
• Identify risks from project documentation early in the process.
• Prepare tender estimates from first principles using Conquest software.
• Conduct site visits to assess site-specific complexities for tenders.
• Lead discussions with suppliers and subcontractors during tendering.
