Job summary

Strata Consulting’s Manchester office is seeking a detail‑driven Civil Technician to turn engineering ideas into accurate, buildable designs. You will produce high‑quality drawings and models across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, while learning and growing within a forward‑thinking consultancy.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant Civil Engineering qualification, experience with AutoCAD, and a disciplined, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D or MicroDrainage is a bonus.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings, models, and design information using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Assist with drainage, highways, earthworks, and external works design.
• Work with engineers to develop practical, efficient design solutions.
• Help compile technical reports, schedules, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and adhere to quality standards.

About

You’ll support our engineering team by producing high‑quality technical drawings and models across a range of civil engineering projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
