Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Civil Structural Inspector to join a major industrial project on a contract basis in Teesside. The role focuses on ensuring civil, structural and concrete works comply with project specs, drawings, codes and ITPs.

You will supervise inspections, verify materials, maintain traceability and endorse reports, aiming for Right First Time and high-quality delivery. The successful candidate has 10+ years in civil/structural inspection, QC experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in civil and structural inspection.
• Previous QC inspection experience is essential.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Strong attention to detail with Right First Time mindset.
• Good coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written communication to present information clearly.
• Self-motivated, organised, resourceful and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all project HSES standards and documentation.
• Carry out timely inspections during civil and structural activities.
• Proactively identify and prevent non-compliance issues and support problem resolution.
• Monitor and review material test certificates in line with project specifications.
• Ensure project preservation requirements are followed.
• Maintain material traceability throughout construction activities.
• Witness manufacturing and construction activities in accordance with agreed ITPs and project standards.
• Endorse associated reports and ITP points where appropriate.
• Ensure quality records and documentation are completed, reviewed, endorsed, and stored correctly.
• Provide feedback to support supplier performance evaluations.

Be part of a major industrial project and ensure quality is delivered right the first time.

Our Client has a requirement for a Civil Structural Inspector, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Teesside.

Role Purpose:

• Ensure all civil, structural, and concrete construction activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes and standards, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and client requirements.
• Provide surveillance, inspection, and verification of construction works to ensure compliance and prevent non-conformances.

Job Role Responsibilities:
