Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Civil Inspector to work on a major energy infrastructure project in Teesside on a contract basis. The role focuses on ensuring inspection duties meet high standards, verifying hold, witness and inspection activities, and ensuring compliance with quality plans, ITPs and international codes.

Qualifications

• Technical/Quality Management qualification (HNC or equivalent) or demonstrable relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in quality and/or inspection roles within oil & gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reviewing final manufacturing data books and inspection records.
• Membership of CQI would be advantageous.
• Experience with R1T, SV&O, and ISO 19011 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review material test certificates in line with project specifications.
• Review compliance with project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Ensure project preservation requirements are followed.
• Maintain material traceability requirements.
• Witness activities per ITP requirements and project standards, including off-site visits.
• Ensure manufacturing record books are completed, reviewed, endorsed, and stored.
• Provide feedback to support supplier performance evaluations.
