Job summary

Go Traffic Management Limited is seeking a Site Operative in Bury St Edmunds to contribute to civil engineering and utility projects across East Anglia.

You will work safely on site, carry out groundwork, assist with traffic management and ensure quality and compliance with health and safety standards. Previous civil engineering or utilities exposure is preferred but training can be provided.

Qualifications

• Desirable: Full UK Driving Licence (training can be provided for right candidate).
• Desirable: EUSR Water Hygiene.
• Desirable: NRSWA (Street Works).
• Desirable: Confined Spaces.
• Desirable: CPCS or NPORS Plant Operator.
• Desirable: Emergency First Aid at Work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general civil engineering and groundwork activities on site.
• Assist with excavations, reinstatements, ducting, drainage, pipe laying and concreting works.
• Operate hand tools, small plant and equipment safely and efficiently (where trained).
• Load, unload and move materials, tools and equipment around site.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining safe working areas, including barriers and traffic management.
• Support colleagues to ensure work is completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
