Job summary

Vantage Consulting is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee wastewater and civil engineering projects in the North West / Lancashire region. You will report to the Project Manager and lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and quality standards.

The role involves coordinating civil, mechanical, electrical and commissioning works, managing subcontractors and producing RAMS and site documentation to meet client KPIs.

Qualifications

• Proven Site Management experience in wastewater and civil engineering.
• SMSTS (SSSTS minimum) certification.
• Confined Space/Street Works/First Aid and Water Hygiene training.

Site Manager - Wastewater / Capital Projects

Location: North West / Lancashire

Salary: 45,000- 50,000 DOE

Hours: 47.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday

About the Role

An established engineering and infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of wastewater and civil engineering projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site activities, subcontractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical and commissioning works.
• Oversee project programmes, quality documentation and client KPIs.
• Prepare and approve RAMS, construction phase plans and site documentation.
• Conduct health, safety and environmental inspections.
• Manage site performance, environmental compliance and project reporting.
• Maintain project records using CEMAR and ProjectWise.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven Site Management experience within wastewater and civil engineering.
• Experience with confined spaces, detention tanks and shaft construction.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• SMSTS (SSSTS minimum).
• Confined Space, Street Works, First Aid and Water Hygiene training.
• Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator experience advantageous.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
