Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a motivated Civil Site Engineer to support the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Manchester. You will set out, survey, and supervise site activities to ensure work meets technical specifications and safety standards.

This role requires a Civil Engineering degree, experience on site, knowledge of NEC contracts, and a full UK driving licence. You will work with construction, commercial, quality, design and client teams to keep programmes

Qualifications

• A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent (Degree/HNC/HND) is required.
• Experience in site-based civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of setting out and surveying techniques.
• Experience in the water sector and NEC contracts is preferred.
• SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent site safety qualification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsabilités

• Setting out and surveying civil works per project specs.
• Supervising subcontractors and site operatives for safe, efficient delivery.
• Completing QA inspections, ITPs, and related records.
• Producing and maintaining site docs, progress reports and records.
• Supporting programme delivery, short-term planning and coordination of daily site activities.
• Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
• Identifying and resolving on-site technical issues, escalating as needed.
• Collaborating with construction, commercial, quality, design and client teams.

Job Description

Our client, an established integrated design and build provider in the water sector, is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to support the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying civil engineering works in accordance with project specifications
• Supervising subcontractors and site operatives to support safe and efficient delivery
• Completing quality inspections, inspection and test plans, and associated records
• Producing and maintaining accurate site documentation, progress reports and site records
• Supporting programme delivery, short-term planning and the coordination of daily site activities
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site, escalating matters where appropriate
• Working collaboratively with construction, commercial, quality, design and client teams

Job Requirements

• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in site-based civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Understanding of setting out and surveying techniques
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements within construction
• Experience within the water sector
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts
• SMSTS, SSSTS or an equivalent site safety qualification
• Experience using digital construction tools and quality assurance systems
• Membership of ICE or another relevant professional institution
• Full UK driving licence
