Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to work on multiple sites in Manchester & Wigan. You will set out, level and traverse, verify drawings and coordinate survey activities on development projects within the water/infra sector.

The role combines hands-on field setting out with modern surveying technology and a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy. A competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven setting out experience with levelling and traversing.
• Experience with GNSS, data collectors and modern survey methods.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for post-processing field data.
• Degree in Civil Engineering (BSc or MSc) required.

Responsibilities

• Execute setting out tasks with precision, including levelling and traversing.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations with the Project Manager and report progress.
• Verify plans and setting-out coordination for project execution.
• Mentor junior team members on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute setting out tasks with precision, ensuring accuracy in levelling and traversing.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, including surveying and progress reporting.
• Verify plans, drawings, and setting out co-ordinations for seamless project execution.
• Utilize modern survey methods and devices, including global navigation satellite systems and data collectors.
• Process field data efficiently using post-processing software such as AutoCAD.
• Take accountability for and guide junior team members as needed.

Requirements

• Proven setting out experience, showcasing expertise in levelling and traversing.
• Proficiency in modern survey methods and devices, including hands-on experience with global navigation satellite systems and data collectors.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD.
• Background in infrastructure and/or heavy civils,
• Possession of a full clean driving licence.
• Degree qualified (BSc or MSc) inCivi lEngienering or equivelent
