Job summary

Luddon Construction Limited seeks a Civil Engineering Site Agent to lead on-site delivery across civil projects in Lancashire. You will manage labour, plant, subcontractors and materials to ensure timely, budget-conscious, high-quality delivery while maintaining health and safety.

Ideal candidates hold an HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with SMSTS and proven site management experience in civil works, for a full-time role based on-site in LA2 0AG with a competitive salary

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
• Proven experience as a Site Agent/Manager in civil engineering projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors, direct workforce, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Direct labour, plant, staff, and equipment to achieve completion on time, to specification, and within budget.
• Manage contract programmes to ensure projects are delivered within timescales.
• Ensure site supervisors are fully briefed on project requirements and priorities.
• Monitor and control costs to ensure alignment with budgets and financial targets.
• Carry out regular site visits to ensure the Company Health, Safety, and Environmental Plan is effectively implemented.
• Mentor and support junior staff, apprentices, and engineers, promoting succession planning and long-term workforce development.
