Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering invites applications for a Civil QC Engineer to lead quality control across civil construction works, from pre-construction through handover, ensuring compliance with project specs and industry standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, 5+ years in quality management, and ISO 9001 Auditor certification. You will lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and data‑driven quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years Quality Management experience in engineering/construction.
• Experience on HV/MV Substation, Power, Renewables, Transmission & Distribution, or Infrastructure projects.
• Experience inspecting and managing civil works including earthworks, foundations, RC, drainage, roads.
• Knowledge of industry standards, specs, testing for civil construction.
• Understanding quality requirements for substation/energy infra.
• Ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• ISO 9001 Auditor certification and experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to provide technical guidance for project teams.
• Attention to detail and planning skills.
• Able to create and implement QC processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in ethics, EHS, teamwork and quality culture.
• Ensure Project EHS requirements and method statements.
• Develop ITPs and inspection checklists.
• Maintain quality dossiers and handover documentation.
• Review calibration certificates and BIM 360 data quality.
• Monitor KPI and supply chain quality performance.
• Coach teams on quality improvement and NCR management.
• Closeout issues, defects, snags with project teams.
• Monitor project progress against specifications and standards.
