Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering Manager to lead its Power & Renewables infrastructure delivery in the UK. You will shape strategy, own civil engineering processes, and drive high-performing teams delivering large, multi-disciplinary projects from tender through to handover.

You will oversee design consultants, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure commercial viability, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

Strong background in civil engineering within infrastructure, utilities, or energy.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing delivery.
Commercial awareness and understanding of cost and programme implications.
Experience across the full project lifecycle from tender to handover.
Ability to operate at both strategic and technical levels without getting lost.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve civil engineering processes, procedures, and strategy across the business.
Build, manage and develop high-performing teams.
Provide technical oversight and direction across multiple projects.
Lead the civil input into bids and tenders, shaping solutions from the outset.
Oversee design and delivery, ensuring outputs meet specification and client expectations.
Provide strategic oversight during construction and manage risk and changes.
Oversee as-built documentation and lessons learned across the business.
