Qualifications

Civil Litigation Locum Solicitor / FCILEx

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Litigation Locum Solicitor or FCILEx to join a busy and supportive litigation team on an interim basis.

This role would suit a lawyer with strong experience in civil disputes who can quickly integrate into an established team and manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision. Particular expertise in contentious probate and property litigation is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a range of disputes from instruction through to resolution, advising clients on strategy, risk and prospects of success whilst delivering a high standard of client care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a caseload of civil litigation matters
• Handling contentious probate and property litigation disputes
• Advising clients throughout the litigation process
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and correspondence
• Conducting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate
• Developing and implementing effective litigation strategies
• Keeping up to date with developments in civil litigation and relevant case law
• Maintaining excellent standards of client service and file management

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) with at least 3 years' PQE and demonstrable experience handling contentious probate and property litigation matters.
