Job summary

Barhale Holdings Ltd seeks a Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support on civil engineering projects in the UK. You will manage cost control, forecasting and contractual compliance while liaising with clients and the supply chain to maximise value and minimise risk.

The role requires a HND/degree in Quantity Surveying, familiarity with ICE/NEC contracts, and strong cost analysis, earned value and monthly reporting skills. A collaborative, proactive approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry and commercial delivery.
• Ability to demonstrate monthly reporting and earned value analysis.
• Strong cost control, forecasting and contract governance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure internal commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit.
• Produce robust cash flow reporting and cost plans.
• Manage subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting under NEC/ICE terms.
• Collaborate with site teams to improve cost management and reporting.
• Lead in cost management, risk assessment and value recovery.
• Support inter-company trading and commercial governance.
• Drive continuous improvement of commercial processes and practices.
