Job summary

Barhale Holdings Ltd in the UK is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of civil engineering projects across the group. You will provide daily leadership to project delivery teams, ensuring accurate cost reporting and robust cash flow management in line with contract requirements.

The role focuses on governance, risk management and value delivery, with strong procurement oversight of subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the construction industry
• Familiarity with IChemE/ NEC forms of contract
• Commercial management and procurement of subcontractors
• Monthly forecasting and cost analysis
• Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy
• Excellent organization and time management under deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate cost and value reporting for projects and business units
• Draft, update and manage CVRs, cost plans and commercial plans
• Ensure accurate cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Lead contract management and change control with IChemE/NEC forms
• Provide commercial leadership to site and project teams
• Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Collaborate with finance and senior management on project performance
• Optimize inter-company trading within Barhale group
• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for value enhancement
