Job summary

Arup in Manchester is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team and help deliver strategic masterplanning and infrastructure projects across the UK. You’ll work with senior engineers to shape development proposals from early definition to delivery planning.

You’ll collaborate with planners, transport engineers, environmental specialists and other disciplines to develop robust, deliverable designs for urban extensions, regeneration schemes and national infrastructure.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Desire to progress toward professional chartership (ICE or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Experience with civil engineering design and integrated infrastructure planning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development of infrastructure strategies for major masterplanning and development projects.
• Prepare Infrastructure Delivery Plans (IDPs) to inform planning, business cases and investment decisions.
• Develop utility strategies covering water, wastewater, power, and telecoms networks; engage utility providers.
• Develop drainage and flood risk strategies; assess infrastructure constraints and capacity.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs to support masterplans and development frameworks.
