Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction techniques.
• Knowledge of relevant procurement legislation.
• Commercial awareness of different forms of contract.
• Sound knowledge of the governance and procedural requirements for work winning.
• Detailed knowledge of estimating software packages.

Responsibilities

• Ensure governance procedures are followed at all times.
• Work with Bid Manager to ensure competitive pricing.
• Agree methodologies and outputs with planner and Bid Manager/Design Manager.
• Advise on cost effective design options.
• Price alternative design solutions.
• Prepare pricing for tenders including local rates/build up rates.
• Liaise with procurement on supplier quotations and subcontractor selections.
• Prepare and reconcile tender risk/ cash flow implications.
• Present pricing build up at settlements and prepare final pricing documentation for tender submission.
• Coordinate with Bid Manager for post-tender clarifications and handover.
