Civil Engineering Technician

Are you a Civil Engineering Technician looking for an exciting new opportunity? This multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is growing its Civils Team in Leeds and is on the lookout for a talented civil technician to support a variety of medium to large-scale projects across sectors including retail, logistics, rail, residential, commercial, and renewables.

With a healthy project pipeline and a collaborative team of six, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment.

Your Role:

1. Assist engineers and technicians in producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD & Civils 3D.
2. Develop AutoCAD models for drainage and highways schemes.
3. Perform and check simple engineering calculations.
4. Conduct initial quality checks on your own work and that of junior staff.
5. Contribute to design problem-solving and technical solutions.
6. Liaise with statutory bodies (e.g., Water Companies, Environmental Agency, County Roads Departments).
7. Ensure the quality and consistency of technical outputs (drawings, reports, etc.).
8. Work professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and designers, offering technical guidance as needed.

What You’ll Need:

1. Strong AutoCAD & Civils 3D skills.
2. Experience in the residential (housing) sector, with knowledge of preparing S104, S38, and S278 packages for technical approval.
