Job summary

Search Consultancy is recruiting a hands-on Civil Supervisor for active main-contractor civil projects in Middlesbrough. You will oversee groundworks, drainage and highway schemes across Teesside, leading site teams and subcontractors to deliver safely, on time and to specification.

The role requires SSSTS/SMSTS certification, CSCS card, full UK driving license, and a proven track record in heavy civil supervision, with the ability to mobilise quickly across Teesside.

Qualifications

• Must hold SSSTS or SMSTS certificate.
• CSCS Gold (Supervisor) or Black (Manager) card.
• First Aid at Work and related certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Site supervision and workforce leadership on daily activities.
• Enforce health, safety & environmental compliance on site.
• Monitor progress and schedule of works including earthworks, drainage and roads.
• Perform quality checks and inspect works against drawings and specs.
• Manage plant movements, materials deliveries and welfare on site.
