Macstaff is seeking a Project Manager – Civil Engineering / Construction near Newton Abbot, Devon, to lead complex civil and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will manage programmes, budgets and safety, delivering projects from planning through handover.

Ideal candidates will have a Civil Engineering degree and proven experience in NEC/JCT contracts, with strong planning, commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Strong planning, organisation, coordination and communication skills.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting and financial control.
• Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT construction contracts.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsabilités

• Manage civil engineering and construction projects to programmes, budgets and quality standards.
• Lead project planning, mobilisation, construction delivery and handover.
• Act as the principal day-to-day contact for clients, attending progress meetings and providing updates.
• Procure, appoint and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring performance and payments.
• Manage project budgets, cost reporting, financial forecasts, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Administer NEC and/or JCT contracts, including variations, early warnings and compensation events.
• Develop, monitor and maintain construction programmes and project schedules.
• Prepare RAMS ensuring CDM 2015 compliance and safety requirements.
• Liaise with designers to resolve technical queries and manage design changes.
• Coordinate project completion, handover documentation, as-built information and quality records.
