Job summary

Macstaff, on behalf of a specialist civil engineering and infrastructure client near Newton Abbot, Devon, is seeking a Project Manager to lead civil engineering and construction projects. You will coordinate design, procurement, site teams and manage budgets through planning and handover.

You should have a Civil Engineering degree and experience in NEC/JCT contracts, CDM 2015, RAMS, and be adept at communicating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering civil, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong planning, budgeting and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering and construction projects to agreed programmes, budgets, quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design, fabrication, supply chain and site installation activities.
• Liaise with clients, principal contractors and subcontractors, attending progress meetings and resolving project challenges.
• Procure and manage subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Administer NEC/JCT contracts, variations and change events.
• Prepare and maintain construction programmes and project documentation.
• Review RAMS and CDM 2015 compliance.
