Marshalls plc, a leading UK manufacturer, is seeking a Civil Engineering CAD Technician to join its Design & Engineering team in Elland. You will provide CAD design and technical support for water management products, producing drawings, calculations and bills of materials to meet project requirements.

The role offers hybrid working (minimum two days in the office) and opportunities to develop your skills in concrete solutions across UK projects, with a focus on safe, durable infrastructure

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 in civil engineering.
• Experience in design and technical environments.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for digital models.
• Experience detailing precast concrete products.

Responsabilités

• Provide CAD design and technical support.
• Produce CAD drawings, calculations, and BOMs.
• Ensure compliance with Marshalls and industry standards.
• Support core Water Management products and related solutions.

As part of our commitment to the evolution of both our products and position as a leading supplier of innovative solutions to the UK water and drainage infrastructure industry we have a brand-new opportunity for a Civil Engineering CAD Technician to join our Design & Engineering team.
So what's the mission? Your main responsibilities will be to provide CAD design and technical support for the Marshalls Civils & Drainage product ranges, primarily focussing on our core Water Management products and solutions, with an exposure to linear drainage, sealed manholes and specialist products designed and manufactured to meet our customers requirements. You will produce CAD drawings, calculations, bills of materials and provide engineering support to a high standard, ensuring compliance with both Marshalls and wider industry processes and standards.
What are the mission-critical skills? This is an opportunity to expand on your experiences and develop your career. We think this role would be suited to someone who has;

• Qualified to Level 3 (or equivalent) in a civil engineering related subject
• Experience of working in a design and technical environment (consultancy, D&B contractor, or a building products design & manufacture business)
• Ability to within industry design standards and codes
• Experienced in material take-offs and drawing / specification reviews
• Proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD and / or Solidworks to produce digital models
• Previous experience in the detailing of pre-cast concrete products and structures would be a distinct advantage
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• Be able to demonstrate flexibility to adapt and respond to change
• Proven ability to motivate yourself to meet project deadlines
