Job summary

South East Water Limited is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Civils team, delivering vital water infrastructure across the South East. You will influence projects from initial concept to completion and mentor graduates and apprentices.

This role requires a degree in civil engineering or equivalent, strong industry knowledge, CDM 2015 experience, and excellent communication to liaise with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in a Civil Engineer role with the ability to manage your own deliverables.
• Strong awareness and application of industry standards and specifications.
• Solid understanding of CDM 2015 and how to apply it to projects.
• Experience in design, construction, or maintenance of infrastructure/assets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Review and check project scopes to ensure outcomes align.
• Provide technical solutions on capital projects; produce design drawings, CDM documents, and job packs.
• Check others’ work for technical quality.
• Mentor graduates and apprentices to grow their skills.
• Liaise with internal and external teams to obtain approvals.
• Visit sites to audit and guide contractors.
