Job summary

South East Water Limited is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Civils team, delivering vital water infrastructure across the South East. You will influence projects from initial concept to completion and mentor graduates and apprentices.

This role requires a degree in civil engineering or equivalent, strong industry knowledge, CDM 2015 experience, and excellent communication to liaise with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in a Civil Engineer role with the ability to manage your own deliverables.
• Strong awareness and application of industry standards and specifications.
• Solid understanding of CDM 2015 and how to apply it to projects.
• Experience in design, construction, or maintenance of infrastructure/assets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Review and check project scopes to ensure outcomes align.

You'll be part of a supportive team, working on exciting, varied projects and shaping your own technical deliverables.

Main responsibilities

• Review and check project scopes to make sure they'll achieve the right outcomes.
• Provide technical solutions and support on capital projects, producing key documents like design drawings, CDM documents, and job specification packs.
• Check other people's work for technical quality.
• Mentor our brilliant Graduate Civil Engineers and apprentices, helping them to grow and develop their skills.
• Liaise with both internal and external teams to get project approvals.
• Visit sites to carry out audits and provide guidance to contractors.

What you’ll need
