Job summary

RGB, a Birmingham-based consultancy, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their residential development team. You will manage a range of projects from bespoke private commissions to large-scale masterplans for national housebuilders across the UK.

You will apply drainage and highway design expertise, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and produce technical designs that meet regulatory standards. The role offers a competitive salary and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in drainage and highway design.
• Familiarity with S38, S278, and S104 submissions.
• Proficient with Flow and PDS design software.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the wider engineering team.
• Delegate tasks to technicians and apprentices.
• Model drainage networks and road designs using Flow and PDS.
• Prepare submission packs for planning (Outline/Detail/Full).
• Complete technical design submissions (S38/S278/S104) through to approval.
• Develop groundworks packages for tender and construction.
• Produce private engineering designs for on-plot civils works.
• Understand the planning process and Flood Risk Assessments.
