Job summary

SYSTRA in Manchester is seeking an Engineer to work on a range of engineering, transportation and infrastructure design projects. You will prepare outline and detailed design, work to budgets and programmes, and ensure QA across a small project team.

You will interface with other disciplines and external engineers, report progress to senior staff, apply safety procedures, contribute to continual improvement and pursue your professional development with SYSTRA support.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with a Civil Engineering, Civil Structures or Civil Environmental degree
• Experience as a design engineer with deliverables within a work package or project
• Familiarity with Eurocodes and construction principles relevant to the discipline

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed design for multi or single disciplinary projects as required
• Follow and check procedures throughout project delivery
• Interface with other disciplines and external engineers to develop multi-disciplinary design
• Report updates to senior engineers, technical leads and project management on progress
• Apply safety procedures to ensure the safety of staff and others
• Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement
• Continue professional development with support from SYSTRA
• Demonstrate alignment with the behavioural framework and foster collaboration
