Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an Engineer to join our civil engineering team on diverse transportation and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will work within budgets, programmes and QA, in a small team delivering client projects.

Responsibilities include preparing outline and detailed designs, checking procedures, interfacing with other disciplines, reporting progress to senior engineers, and contributing to safety and quality throughout the design lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as a design engineer with responsibility for deliverables.
• Familiar with Eurocodes and construction standards.
• Awareness of commercial and contract conditions related to budgets/timescales.
• Proficient in computer analysis programmes and design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed design for multi or single disciplinary projects.
• Follow and check procedures throughout project delivery.
• Interface with other disciplines and external engineers to develop multidisciplinary designs.
• Report progress to senior engineers and project management.
• Apply safety procedures to protect staff and others during the design lifecycle.
• Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement.
• Pursue ongoing professional development with support from SYSTRA.
